UNFPA is supporting the National Council for Economic and Social Development in the process of formulating a national youth policy with the aim of providing a framework to address the needs and aspirations of the youth in Libya. In particular, UNFPA will organize a training workshop for the technical team that is working on the youth policy development, which is a joint team between the National Council for Economic and Social Development and the Ministry of Youth. The workshop will take place in Tunis, from 4 to 6 September 2023. The consultant will provide the policy development team with orientation and knowledge to design and draft a national youth policy that is evidence-based, inclusive, comprehensive and responsive to the needs and priorities of youth. Building the capacity of the technical team who is working on drafting the youth policy, the training should produce a roadmap to develop the national youth policy and key recommendations for UNFPA to support this process.
